Travel, lodging, and daily living
Visiting artists are responsible for providing their own tools and materials.
Please note that due to the sensitivity of the building, studios are not equipped to deal with heavy materials, dangerous and/or hazardous processes or toxic chemicals/ materials.
Artists in residence are therefore expected to cover their own living expenses and the costs of their accomodation and studio space.

Suggeriamo agli artisti di portare il proprio computer portatile; wireless Internet è disponibile ovunque.
The entire centre is wireless equipped.
We suggest to bring your laptop ; in addition we provide computer with internet access
The house is located in a very silent and peaceful area, far about 1 km from theMetro Vitinia ( 15 minutes walking).
Facilities are very basic and not suitable for people with special needs.
An automatic car is available for the artists.
Residents live in a single room . Kitchen, living room and bathroom are shared. Linen and towel are provided.
Wireless internet access is available.
Cooking is done individually or shared by the group as desired. Setting the table and washing up after the prepared meal is divided between the guests.
It is possible to come with a companion, such as members of your family or friend who will share the room.
In that case, their cost will € 200/week.

Applications are open to artists of all proficiencies-beginners to more advanced artists.
Residency fee
3 nights 150€ 1 week € 400, each next week € 300.
Is requested a deposit of 50% when the applicant receives acceptation of the candidature.
Balance is due no later one month before the sojourning begins.
Refund Policy
Deposit is non-refundable. Any cancellation must be made in writing by regular mail or email.
Procedura per la Selezione - Selection procedure
It is essential for Applicants to have (a) a basic wish to be inspired by tranquillity, nature and the countryside and Rome City heritage, and (b) to be involved in a personal artistic project for the duration of their stay.Applications to include:

Copy of recent CV
Samples of recent work (written excerpts, photos, videos, catalogue extracts, etc.)
Applications to be sent by email, incomplete applications will not be considered.
All Residency placements will need to be secured by a Booking Deposit which will be fully deducted from the final bill payable on arrival.
E' essenziale per i candidati di (a) essere ispirati dalla tranquillità, la natura e il paesaggio rurale e il patrimonio artistico della Città di Roma, e (b) di essere coinvolti in un progetto artistico personale per la durata del loro soggiorno.

Ogni Artista donerà un opera ad Artea ARtCo per le mostre eventi futuri.
Artea ArtCo actively promotes interaction between our Resident Artists and the local community through a curated Festival of art events which runs parallel to residencies in the winter/summer season.
ArtCohousing: Vengono invitati/ scelti tramite concorso e ospitati ogni due mesi Artisti Italiani e Internazionali per un weekend (3 notti) in cambio di LivePerformance o/e Workshop
con la donazione di un opera scelta dalla Curatrice che verrà esposta presso il Girasolereale Art Gallery e disponibile ad un Pranzo con L'Artista.
